Did you know there is more than one type of crown?
You can read about the different kinds of crowns that we provide below.
A crown is a tooth-shaped prosthetic that covers the whole tooth. A crown may be placed to fix a broken tooth, to protect a weak tooth, to complete a dental implant, to improve the appearance of discolored teeth, etc. We offer crowns in porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, or gold. To ensure that it lasts that long, regularly floss and brush and avoid chewing hard foods, such as ice. This preserves the crown.
Inlays and onlays—aka partial crowns—are used when the base of the tooth is left, but parts of it have been removed due to infection or an old filling needs replacing.
